Plastic Tube Fittings

The Omnifit Gripper fitting with PTFE seal is provided in sizes for 1/16'' and 1/8'' O.D. hard tubing. The gripper fitting system uses plastic tube fittings made of polypropylene or PEEK with a 1/4''-28 or M6 thread and a PTFE gripper that attaches when twisted on the tubing.

Flanged fittings
Flanging is a long established method of making tubing connections. By flanging the end of hardwall tubing, an edge can be produced which when screwed into place in a flat-bottom port, the fitting compresses to produce a seal.
Gripper Fittings
Omnifit's Gripper fitting offers a flangeless tube connection system. The Gripper (sold separately) comprises a PTFE facing washer press-fitted into a 316 stainless steel housing which is fitted onto hardwall tubing by means of tiny barbs which grip into the wall of the tubing. A threaded male fitting is placed behind the Gripper in order to connect the tubing into the desired port. Rated to 1000psi.

Inverted cone fittings
A Tefzel® cone is matched to the outside diameter of the tubing to be used. The cone, once fitted into a femal flat-bottom port, is compressed into the cone shaped end of the fitting forming an inert seal. This method has a good sealing pressure and requires no tools, providing a quick and easy method of tubing connection.
Nut & Ferrule Fitting Assemblies
1/4 -28 and 5/16 - 24 nut & ferrule type fitting assemblies in regular, headless, and short headless versions for use with hard tubing.
Omnigrip fittings
Omnigrip is an inert, one-piece fitting which only requires a twist of the finger to seal instantly on any flat-bottom connection. Easy to use and pressure rated to 1000 psi, Omnigrip fittings have a 1/4"-28 UNF male thread to fit any 1/4"-28 UNF flat bottom female port.
'O'-ring fittings
All Omnifit's 'cap-type' connectors and valves come complete with 3 Viton® O-rings, enabling instant connections to be made using a variety of tubing sizes. This is particularly advantageous when changing fluid lines of differing dimensions.
PTFE Cone fittings
Used as an option with Omnifit 'Cap-type' connectors, a PTFE cone is matched to the outside diameter of the tubing being used. This cone, once fitted, is compressed onto the tube forming a seal. PTFE is resistant to most chemicals including sulphuric acid, sodium hydroxide and all organic solvents. The cone option gives an all PTFE fluid path with very low dead volume. The typical presure rating is 50psi (3 bar).
